Projects To Do In My Apartment

So to keep help myself on track (and because I'm gonna blog about all these projects) I thought I would make a fun list of all the stuff I want to do now that I have a real apartment I will be in for the forseeable future.  I'm in full on DIY/homemaker mode right now and I'm loving it.  Decorating an apartment and actually remodeling is so much fun! So here's what I have planned to do.  The stuff in bold I've either started or at least procured the materials to start.

• wall mount tv
• build wall shelving around the tv (or do something else for storage)
• paint all furniture white in bedroom
• redesign closet completely, i.e. tear down current stuff and build fresh
• put flowers/plants in every room
• get a dressing table and nice dressing chair
• find bench/table to put at end of bed
• paint bathroom a nice blue/green color
• do second coat of grey paint in bedroom
• repaint ceiling in bedroom from slight paint mistakes...whoops
• repaint all the trim in bedroom/bathroom
• paint the bathroom cabinet
• line bathroom cabinet shelves with contact paper
• install new hardware in bathroom
• install shelving in bathroom
• get a nice laundry basket (one with different compartments to sort)
• install chandelier/new lighting in bedroom
• replace lighting in bathroom
• make a gallery wall in bedroom
• hang other artwork in bedroom
• hang artwork in bathroom

Andddd that's probably good for now.  I'm waiting until Wednesday when my stud finder arrives to wall mount my tv and put up shelving in the bathroom.  Should be fine.  In the mean time I'm working on cleaning my room and finally finishing unpacking.  I know...its been almost 2 months and I'm still unpacking/putting stuff away.  Yikes!  But I got a ton of work done today so hopefully I'll be finished by the end of next weekend!  Or else I won't let myself go to Six Flags on Sunday.  Gotta have consequences for missing deadlines...sadly.
